Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha
Centre of Mantralayam
The Moola Brindavana of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy, on the bank of the Tungabhadra. Darshan on ordinary days usually takes about half an hour; Thursdays and festival days are much busier. The Matha serves prasadam to devotees at noon and in the evening.

Manchalamma Temple
Beside the Matha
Shrine of Goddess Manchalamma, the village deity who gave the land for the Brindavana. By tradition, devotees visit her first and then go for the darshan of Rayaru.

Tungabhadra river ghat
Short walk from the Matha
The steps down to the Tungabhadra behind the Matha, where many pilgrims take a holy dip before darshan. Take care when the river is high after rain, and keep children close.

Panchamukhi Anjaneya Temple
About 20 km · About 30–45 minutes by road
A small hilltop temple across the river in Karnataka, where Sri Raghavendra Swamy is believed to have done penance and had darshan of the five-faced Hanuman. Busy on Tuesdays, Saturdays and full-moon days. Autos and taxis go from Mantralayam.

Bichale (Bhikshalaya)
About 20 km · About 30–40 minutes by road
Village on the Tungabhadra where Rayaru stayed with his disciple Sri Appanacharya. See the Japada Katte by the river and the Ekashila Brindavana. Often combined with Panchamukhi in one trip.
